Flight 7859-Korean Airlines
Don't be on it. That's my advice to you if you have any hopes of staying sane or having an enjoyable flight whatsoever. This is the flight that I will be getting on in the very near future. Correction- myself, a one-year-old, a two-year-old and a little dog will soon be getting on that flight. Those of you who know me, understand that I am not a math person, but even I can tell that I will clearly be outnumbered to the point that either I or the rest of them will have to spend some/all of the flight drugged/drunk in order for us to arrive in one piece and possibly the remaining passengers as well. A friend mentioned that stickers kept her little guy busy in an airplane for a good 20-30 minutes... any tips for two kids for a 12 hour flight? Any at all? Is this mike even on?? You can get back to me...

When we came home for that loooooong journey, we had LOTS of books, movies (ya know the baby crack movies-like the Einsteins) on our iPod, crayons, flash cards and Jerod had a handle of Jack-for himself :). Good luck. How are you getting Hammie on a flight with the temps? Will he be with you since he is small?
Oh- did I forget to emphasize that Jay will not be joining us?? Since I'm by myself, do I still get the handle of Jack?
I'll be feeling your pain in less than two weeks...well, not quite as much pain since I only have one kid...and no dog. It will all be over in less than 24 hours, and there will hopefully be someone on the other end to take over for you. You'll probably never see those people on the plane again anyway.....
30 hours 5 months preggo and chasing my 2 year old was sheer bliss. particularly when she laid down at customs and declared herself 'all done'. wrap up presents...playdough, stickers, color wonder markers, electric toothbrush...even a few legos might help and then open one each hour. take advantage of the cocktail service (by the third glass you wont even notice the judgmental stares of other passengers) and make sure you are seated on the aisle. oh, and pick candy that takes awhile to eat...my fave are skittles...one chewy morsel at a time. good luck!!
I suggest bringing the Jack for yourself Tava. I've done the over the Atlantic flight by myself with Adam a few times...not very fun. Can't imagine with 2 kiddos and a dog. Stickers, videos, books (all the stuff Kristen said). I'd buy some small little toys/books that the girls have never seen and save them especially for the trip. That way they have something new and exciting to entertain them. I have a friend whose kid loved bandaids so she would always bring a box and it would keep her toddler busy for a while. I haven't tried it with Adam. If it's an overnight flight, benadryl is always helpful to help them relax and fall asleep a little easier (said I'd never do that but I got desperate on our last trip and it worked like a charm). GOOD LUCK!!!!
I did notice that Jay wasn't going to be on the trip with you. UMMMM, yeah, I hope he plans on getting you something good because after that trip, you may just be going straight to your attorney...only kidding...well kinda..You are a goddess for doing that and you should definately take a handle with you.
AND the playdough is a great idea...my sister-in-law has the set that uses cookies cutters and it keeps her daughter busy at dinners out for several minutes!
